Working in partnership to create an exciting new brand
With more than 200 years experience, Greene King Pub Partners operate over 1,000 leased, tenanted and franchise pubs across the UK. To compete effectively with other pub companies, they needed to differentiate and really stand out from the competition in a sector that had become a ‘sea of sameness’.
In conjunction with our sister company 032 Design, we began by undertaking a series of stakeholder interviews to gain a richer understanding of Greene King Pub Partners’ existing position in the marketplace. This was followed by a comprehensive PESTEL and SWOT analysis, competitor research and a deep dive into the organisation’s existing marketing collateral.
Working closely with a Greene King Pub Partners steering group, we then facilitated a series of interactive and creative workshops which revealed a brand positioning with partnership at its heart that celebrates entrepreneurs and individuality within communities.
Following these workshops and having articulated the What, How, Why, Vision, Values, Proposition and Brand Narrative, we set about bringing ‘Every Partnership Begins With You’ to life through a compelling visual identity including a suite of new photography, a comprehensive brand toolkit incorporating tone of voice guidance and further brand amplification.
The new brand strategy and visual identity has created real commercial advantage in a crowded marketplace and brought absolute focus to Greene King Pub Partners’ goals and ambitions.
